Dave Farrow
Whoa, this piece has a truly chilling effect and the title is so appropriate. Even though it is scary and surreal, the piece is undeniably beautiful. Sweet Danielle, you snatch the coveted "Beat Feet Outta` The Woods" gold medal. You have a rare gift lady. sweet work...your color scheme is awesome l.v.f.
Danielle R T Haney replied:
:-D Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments Dave- You give the best medals! Happy to report this one had a happy ending. It's actually my most uplifting piece, oddly! After 7+ years of chronic pain, being shuffled from doctor to doctor.. awaiting scheduled surgery for back/neck bulges/herniations/"pinched nerves"/RSI/blah, blah, BLAH... I finally found the answer to ending the pain. I try not to preach, but sometimes feel like shouting it from the rooftops!! Cost me $4.00. LOL (Shout outs to my late Hero~ Dr. John Sarno & author Steve Ray Ozanich, for saving my sanity & life!) :-)

Ohhh....haunting story Danielle...but I think the big one is trapped too !!...the sun is the only one who can make the frost disappear....!! :-)
Danielle R T Haney replied:
Hello Michel!! : ) I love the way you interpret it! Still dealing w/ the pinched nerves/bulging disc monster... as soon as it's defeated, I'll be back to art! Thanks for not forgetting me. :-)
Georgia Mizuleva
Fabulous work.
Danielle R T Haney replied:
Thanks so much Georgia : )
Jurek Zamoyski
Dear Danielle, sometimes in art, sometimes in our speech, we reveal our unconscious. "Almost invariably I discover a disturbing influence from something outside of the intended speech," Freud wrote. "The disturbing element is a single unconscious thought, which comes to light through the special blunder." According to Freud, these errors reveal unconscious thoughts, beliefs, or wishes. "Two factors seem to play a part in bringing to consciousness the substitutive names: first, the effort of attention, and second, and inner determinant which adheres to the psychic material," Freud suggested in his book. "Besides the simple forgetting of proper names there is another forgetting which is motivated by repression," Freud explained. Happy Halloween !
Danielle R T Haney replied:
I've read your comment 'thrice' Jürek and enjoyed it more each time. I think I understand it, although slightly stumped on Mr. Freud's last sentence... (I'm working on it!) This image took 1-2 hours... & the day after, I realized it was sort of an illustration of pinched nerve pain/knotted muscles in my 'traps'...., so it was one of those very subconscious pieces. Thanks for your awesome visit & great insight!! Hope you're well~ & yes- Happy Halloween! 🍊

Thanks Catalina & Michel :-) (Made from window ice crystals- can't get away from them!) Hope the running female is visible, & not just the scary figure behind her.) :-D You're right Michel~ I believe she escapes! A bit of Halloween fun.... : )
