Drawing - Colored Pencil On Paper
Description
J.W. Waterhouse baptised (baptized) April 6, 1849... d. February 10, 1917. Colored pencil portrait of J.W. Waterhouse; English Painter (my favorite), by Danielle R T Haney.
This was quite a difficult portrait for me because: 1) I worked from a black and white photograph of Mr. Waterhouse. 2) I realized, once I was 90% done with the portrait, that I was working from the wrong photo, a slightly larger one than I started with. Therefore the proportions are a bit off, I'm sure. : )

Master Waterhouse! He painted eternal beauty of women. His Goddesses and Priestesses will be admired for forever. He's studying your beauty.
Danielle R T Haney replied:
Well thanks for the blush Master Zamoyski 😄 He finally seems to be getting some recognition.. always surprised how many had never heard of him. I've read quite a bit on him.. he didn't seem to fit in with the popular artists & critics.. which makes me love him all the more. ♡
